Greater Buffalo BOMA has recently signed on to the Seven Point Challenge issued by BOMA International, and we will have a brief presentation about that at this meeting as well. Reservations are $25/members, and $28/non-members. We're taking a year off to update, upgrade and upload new ideas, a new venue, and new time of the year. For the past 11 years Greater Buffalo BOMA has worked with PPM Business Services to produce the annual Trade Show, known as the Facilities Management Expo. Well, as the song goes "The times they are a changin'". With many thanks and a tip of the hat to Nancy Boyd-Haley, President of PPM Business Services, BOMA has decided to produce this event on their own. A new committee has been formed, and we are looking into some interesting venues, including the downtown area (with parking!!) So BOMA will not have a trade show in 2008; instead, we will use the intervening 18 months to prepare a better, updated event, to be held in the spring of 2009. This will also give our faithful participants a bit of a break in their schedules as well! So "watch this space" for further details! And if you'd like to suggest a new location, or be a part of a dynamic and energized team, call the BOMA office and let us know! (You can reach us at 856-3801.) |

Greater Buffalo BOMA returns to Arrowhead Golf Club on Monday, August 25, 2008 for our annula Golf Outing. Sponsorships and doorprizes will be welcomed, and the golf games and Chinese Auction will also be back. We're looking forward to a day of fun, bogeys, birdies and delicious meals. Invitations will be going out in the near future, and additional information will be posted here on our website. As always, if you have questions, call the BOMA office and we'll be glad to help out. Additional winners also included Property Manager of the Year, Colby Smith, seen here with members of his company, McGuire Development, and his family. Developer of the Year was given to Uniland Development, and BOMA member of the year went to Mary Battey, of Seneca One Realty. Our congratulations to all the winners for a job well done! Keep the FACES of BOMA Award program in mind as you move through the coming year. Nominations are accepted in late Summer, and announced at the Christmas party. Candidates who win The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award can move on to the Mid-Atlantic Regional competition sponsored by BOMA International.
